The House passed the following bill off

The House passed the following bill off the floor today.

Engrossed House Bill 2362 passed 61 to 36 with 1 excused.

These bills represent the continued decline in government transparency and the continued march toward a police state. The Body Camera bill (HB 2362) eviscerates 2-party consent in Washington. It provides no protection against the incidental collection of data on private citizens and allows the use of that data for later prosecution of crimes. The bill creates significant problems through the lack of consistency which body cameras will be used, creating additional liability on local taxpayers through increased lawsuits. This bill is not ready for passage and should have been put down. It wasn’t … here’s the roll call vote on the bill. https://app.leg.wa.gov/far/RollCall?rollCallId=43096&bienId=23&rollCallId=43096&bienId=23
