2017 Legislative Session, Day 31
The Appropriations Committee held a work session to hear the 2017-19 budget outlook. The committee also held public hearings on seven bills. House Bill 1109 supporting victims of sexual assault.

House Bill 1153 concerning crimes against vulnerable persons.

Substitute House Bill 1163 concerning domestic violence.

House Bill 1707 defining salary for purposes of the Washington state patrol retirement system.

House Bill 1708 allowing new government employees the option of opting out of retirement system membership if the employee is age sixty or older when first hired, or when the employee’s employer opts into retirement plan participation.

House Bill 1709 authorizing the transfer of public employees’ retirement system service credit to the public safety employees’ retirement system due to differing definitions of full-time.

Substitute House Bill 1155 making felony sex offenses a crime that may be prosecuted at any time after its commission.

The Committee may also take Executive Action on three bills.
