The Appropriations Committee held public hearings on twelve bills today. Substitute House Bill 1046 concerning certificates of academic and individual achievement.

House Bill 1055 concerning pro bono legal services for military service members, veterans, and their families.

Substitute House Bill 1111 concerning DNA biological samples.

Substitute House Bill 1123 concerning tourism marketing.

Substitute House Bill 1129 providing associate degree education to enhance education opportunities and public safety.

Substitute House Bill 1144 -amending state greenhouse gas emission limits for consistency with the most recent assessment of climate change science.

Substitute House Bill 1196 -modifying the process for prevailing parties to recover judgments in small claims court.

Substitute House Bill 1300 simplifying and enforcing employee status under employment laws to ensure fairness to employers and employees and address the underground economy.

House Bill 1301 concerning the employee antiretaliation act.

House Bill 1621 Providing funding allocations to promote children’s health and social-emotional learning.

House Bill 1737 concerning veterans’ mental health services at institutions of higher education.

House Bill 2008 addressing the budgeting process for core state services for children.

The Committee may also take Executive Action on ten bills.
