The Appropriations Committee held public hearings on ten bills today. House Bill 1298 prohibiting employers from asking about arrests or convictions before an applicant is determined otherwise qualified for a position.

Substitute House Bill 1355 concerning the authority of the public safety review panel.

House Bill 1421 concerning the removal of payment credentials and other sensitive data from state data networks.

Substitute House Bill 1486 creating the Washington wage recovery act.

House Bill 1506 addressing workplace practices to achieve gender pay equity.

House Bill 1637 concerning the reimbursement rate primary care providers receive to participate in medicaid.

House Bill 1689 making adjustments to the student transportation allocation system.

House Bill 1960 addressing fiscal notes.

House Bill 1968 limiting nursing home direct care payment adjustments to the lowest case mix weights in the reduced physical function groups and authorizing upward adjustments to case mix weights in the cognitive and behavior groups.

House Bill 1996 concerning maintaining the quarterly average census method for calculating state hospital reimbursements.
